The AFTES (French Tunnelling and Underground Space Association)
is pleased to inform you that its next International Congress will be held
2-4 October 2023
at the Palais des Congrès at Porte Maillot in Paris
Last year’s event in September 2021, which was highly anticipated after being postponed, was a great success and many of you attended, as both delegates and exhibitors. Despite the public health situation, we welcomed over 3,000 participants. We hope to see at least as many of you again in 2023.

The central theme of next year’s event is
“Underground space at the heart of transitions”
Whether it is the low-carbon transition, the digital transition, resilience in the face of climate change or new technologies for deploying innovative and adapted solutions, our Association hopes that this congress will show that underground space has an important role to play in these changes in our society.
A large number of captivating prospects are therefore on the horizon for this AFTES 2023 Congress!
Based on this central theme, this conference aims to provide an opportunity for all underground developers and underground stakeholders (decision-makers, management contractors, developers, urban planners, infrastructure managers, designers, builders, suppliers, etc.) to share their experiences and projects and to contribute on the following aspects:
